Western NY finally got a bit of snow out of this last system that came through. Thank goodness some of the Clubs have been able to start to RE-open their trails.
When you think of Buffalo and most parts of WNY you think snow – there should be snow on the ground from November till at least March. It least that’s how I remember it “back in the day” growing up in East Aurora. Not anymore it seems. Very limited opening the last several years.
So, if you are in WNY find out who’s trails are open then get out and enjoy it while you can – hopefully it sticks around and you get a few more blast of snow in the meantime!
The following areas/Clubs are reporting open trails…….. I will update as I hear from others.
Holland, Folsomdale, Colden, Oatka,
Genesee Sno Packers, Southerntier Snow Drifters,
all of Chautaugua Country
Sleds of Stafford, Shawnee Sno-Chiefs, NESS, Orleans, Centerville Hill Riders,
Marilla Sno Mob, Grand Island
Franklinville Snowmobile Club Trails are open but it’s reported there are water bars and icy spots so
ride with caution.
There is a great event going on this weekend which you can now “ride in” by trail (thank you Mother Nature) –
