The snow is finally here and everyone is excited. If you are a snowmobiler that is totally understandable. As always there has been a varying amount of snow fall from area to area which means that NOT ALL TRAILS are open. Keep this in mind when you are deciding when and where you are going to ride. Best thing to do is to check with the Snowmobile Club that covers the area that you plan to ride as it is at their discretion whether or not to open their trails. Most clubs now have a website and or a facebook page that makes it easy to keep up to date. Just because they are out with the groomer does not necessarily mean that the trail is open. The volunteers are out packing what is there to create a good base for us all to enjoy some great riding in the days and weeks to come. If you see a Trail Closed sign please turn around. The season barely began and Turin Ridge Riders already had a landowner shut down a trail due to a handful of disrespectful riders crossing onto a CLOSED TRAIL that was clearly posted.
Be sure to Thank a Groomer and any other Club VOLUNTEER to meet. They are the ones who make it possible to get out there with our family and friends.
Have a SAFE and memorable riding season! See you out there!
